Contractual pension age

Your Contractual Pension Age (CPD) is only relevant to any pensionable service you had accrued in the Final Salary section of USS up to 1 October 2011.

Your contractual pension age/date is stipulated in your contract of employment and is the earliest you can retire and be entitled to receive an unreduced pension from USS, based on your pensionable service and pensionable salary at that point.

If you want to see what your contractual pension age was (as at 30 September 2011) at your institution simply enter the name of the institution you are looking for into the box below and the relevant institution and contractual pension age should appear directly underneath.

Please note that this represents the situation as at 30 September 2011. The contractual pension age has no relevance to service built up since 1 October 2011. So although you may be able to receive your benefits accrued before 1 October 2011 without any reductions benefits in respect of service since 1 October 2011 will be reduced for their earlier payment in most cases.

Any queries regarding this should be directed to your employer's pension department as a first point of contact, if you are an active member of the scheme.
