In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 we are required to inform you that along with other organisations, Universities Superannuation Scheme is taking part in the Audit Commission's National Fraud Initiative 2010/2011. This initiative checks the data that we hold against registered deaths to identify cases where pensions are still being paid despite the pensioner's death. This data matching exercise meets the requirements of the data protection law. The Audit Commission will be processing the data for this purpose only, and will
comply with data protection principles.
